Snowmobiling with children in Levi

Children can join our snowmobile safaris in different ways depending on their age, height and the adventure you choose. Children under 130 cm travel in a sleigh pulled by the guide, while children who are at least 130 cm tall can sit behind a parent on the snowmobile when booked with an adult ticket.

Most of our snowmobile safaris are suitable for children aged 3 years and older. However, we also offer two family-friendly safari options suitable for children aged 1–2 years (Familysafari and Santa Visit).

If you are travelling with a child under 3, please choose one of these designated family safaris or contact us before booking. We’ll be happy to help you find the most suitable option for your family.

Safety always comes first. Before every safari, our guides go through the safety instructions with the group, and full safari gear – including winter clothing, boots, gloves, a balaclava and helmet – is included.

Different types of sleighs are used on our safaris. Below, you can see how children travel on each adventure and what to expect when choosing the right safari for your family.

How do children travel on our safaris?

Children travelling on a child ticket usually sit in a sleigh pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. We have several types of sleighs available, and our guides choose the most suitable option depending on the group, weather conditions and the safari.

When needed, an adult can travel in the sleigh together with a small child. Our guides will choose the most suitable arrangement for your family and the conditions on the day. Please note: The type of sleigh used cannot be guaranteed in advance. We always choose the most suitable sleigh based on the group, safari and conditions.

Heated 8-seat sleigh

Our largest enclosed and heated sleigh seats up to eight passengers. It provides extra protection from the weather and is used on selected experiences, including our Santa Visit safari.

Heated 4-seat sleigh

A smaller enclosed and heated option for up to four passengers, offering a sheltered and comfortable way for children to travel during the safari.

Open sleigh

Our larger open sleighs are available in 6- and 8-seat versions. They offer children an open-air experience while travelling through the snowy landscapes behind the guide.

Two-seat sleigh

Our smaller two-seat sleigh is used on both safaris and snowmobile rentals. It is a good option when only a small number of passengers need to travel in a sleigh.
